
Continuing with our line of though regarding the better way of measuring poverty, the concept of well being appears to be a closer and more holistic approximation on the path to development growth. As we have said in our previous post ( 12/02/2015 ) the Happy Planet Index shows that a subjective element as happiness could be able to change substantially the results of measuring well-being. It s inclusion in a development policy represents an important challenge in terms of measure and make us redefine the originals goals of the MDG´s.
The following article of Kroll in The Guardian: “What makes people happy and why it matter for development” shows clearly the importance of this subjective factor of difficult measure that however, needs objective results.
