The view from the clouds is always different, no matter the landscape, weather or state of mind, landing or taking off : from Geneva to Lisbon, to the Vatican, to London, Bern, Rome, Porto, again to Geneva within the exciting expectation that it will be the same rhythm for the promising new year: pending assignments, almost consolidated ideas, and successfully finished -challenging- projects. Forums, presentations, networking events, and most importantly my spiritual enrichment taken from each of those places, events and people. There is one in particularly: passing through the Holly Door in St Peter´s Basilica during this Jubilee Year in the Vatican, granted by the late Pope Francis. Such an inspiring chapter for my special 2025, that still make me feel emotionally moved.  Being aligned and part of a historical, and hopefully a transformative time for the Catholic Church within the election of Pope Leo XIV. Bringing a fresh breeze to a chaotical environment of negativity, and a determined agenda of converting political analysis into a driver that feeds aggressive confrontation. The enthusiastic changemaker game that works against the status quo in a complete obscure way.

Not coincidentally 2025 was the year themed “pilgrims of hope”, an invitation towards union, conciliation and reconciliation of differences. In the end, the only drivers to peace are a hopeful attitude, and a steady work of constructing peace. A peacebuilder is not necessary an activist, yet a political leader that leave aside interests, ideology and anger.

This is the way I am looking at the transition 2025-2026, as a different from other years, there is no room for a wrap when there is a determination of keeping a status quo by an increasing digital manipulation and mass mobilisation from deep, obscure goals.  

The attractive vocabulary that we get used to: innovation, change, empathy, sustainability, compassion, diabolically transforming into an authoritarian way that forces all us to become “politically correct” or to die politically.

Is not allowed to debate, only-one-side-counts  for all conflicts in a crazy way that find their way in the pure, and cruel reality: corruption in Spain, EU representatives e.g. High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy F. Mogherini arrested for fraud, EU in war -still- despite the efforts done from Pres. Trump to get into an arrangement. Paradoxically going against the pre-established EU agenda that cannot be crueller and more unreasonable: “war as long as it takes” as the Pres. EU Commission Ursula Von der Leyen repeatedly calls to act. As a miracle, Diplomacy and negotiation lead the way into an agreement and erase EU/NATO institutional agenda. However, presses hard upon anyone that appreciate or recognise these specific endeavours made by Pres. Trump because of the current politically correct world, therefore, cancelling any credibility or even popularity. Migrants that are not migrants, massive exodus of innocent people – including children- pushing into the darkness of the sea, reaching lands that are not prepared to receive them, without any agreement among Nations or pressing reasons to do so. Economic crises, poverty, may push some of the population to dangerous adventures, however not in a massive scale as we are witnessing in the Mediterranean Sea.

No humanitarian aid could replace the inappropriateness of letting masses of people abandon their Nations without guarantees and support, in the meanwhile their governments of residence do not hesitate to loot all that funds given in the opportunity of a pseudo compassionate policies that surprisingly do not consider corruption levels.  Contributing to the vicious circle of non-accountability for whom the only beneficiaries are the local governments that become even more powerful at the expenses of their citizens.

Same in war zones where corruption is covered by using politically correct terms of “peace”, “compassion” or “aid” instead of keeping control of the process in terms of accountability and transparency. Not only for the recipients but from the donors, as the case of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement 2017* and the weird engagement and interests since then.Humanitarian aid is not about replacing governments -neither Diplomacy- is about specific times to facilitate processes that allow Nations to become sovereign empowered, and not slaves from a permanent and unhealthy dependence.

Gender equality campaigns are needed differently, instead is another way to misuse resources without getting into tangible results, forgetting equity, culture, religion and tradition. Women and men are equal in rights not on nature, and many women revendicate their rights to be free, not only to gain benefits from their gender status, but to be considered and protected precisely from that diversity.

No, is not politically correct, neither popular but is the way to find balance and harmony among women-men. Instead of steadily pushing the population into global standards that do not fit – only commercially does- Women protection is about complicity with men.Women political presence is not necessarily about numbers, but a robust capacity to be part of the decision-making processes for whom politics is only one part of it. Community leaders, bloggers, independent thinkers, etc. are also part of the changemaker game, giving the civil society the legitimate place that deserves in a democratic society.

And finally, the Social Media “accuracy” that is leading all of us into a fake scenario for whom the “truth” is clearly pre-established and any kind of inaction or action against it, is considered a threat or outrage to global stability. Nothing more confusing and manipulative that in the end, is confronting humanity into a war for whom freedom of speech is cancelled for the sake of a better society and future “perfect way of life” that not surprisingly  never comes -or if so, not as expected-.

Getting attached to your healthy inner habits and gut, finding a point of balance between the politically correct thoughts and your realistic and results-driven ones is one way to fight back.  In my case by writing, exchanging, traveling, and present meetings I find the correctness and not the correctness pre-established standard. Searching for the truth rather than chasing the truth. Simply analysing facts and not ideological facts that slowly are getting diffused into a mass of fake debates that make trends, but not outcomes.

Is not a wrap for me, is a seamless, continuous, harmonical transition that keep the same bold intensity, creative passion, and committed philanthropy, a job that has not ended during this year and is inviting me for a 2-year transition. I promise I will be non-politically correct although deeply engaged with the commitment to mark a difference from the popular and trendy, into the sophisticated, and bold view towards political analysis that contributes to transparent humanitarian aid, global integration, women equity, Social Media transparency, AI ethics, and peace -even no politically correct-.
